Personal Injury Compensation

The contents of this section are intended for general information purposes only and do not constitute legal advice.  We cannot accept responsibility for any loss as a result of acts or omissions taken in respect of the information contained in this section.

How much compensation am I likely to receive?

The amount of compensation you may be awarded if you are successful in your Personal Injury claim is dependent upon the nature, severity and duration of your injury and its effect on your ability to carry out your day to day activities and whether your injury has caused you to suffer any consequential financial loss eg., loss of earnings which can also be recovered as part of your compensation.

Compensation for your injury itself is calculated by reference to a set of national guidelines and also by the amounts of compensation awarded by the Courts to others suffering injuries comparable to yours.

We set out below the national guidelines for injury compensation excluding any consequential financial loss which you could be awarded and which is calculated separately.
